TPWD promotes action to combat harmful, non-native plants and wildlife

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department asks Texans to join the fight against invasive species that negatively impact the state’s natural resources and economy. National Invasive Species Awareness Week, slated for Feb. 20–26, is an initiative to raise awareness of the threats and provide solutions on how to prevent the spread of invasive species.

LEIGH POOL Social Science Club of Terrell The Social Science Club of Texas (SSC) is delighted to announce the 24th annual “Christmas in a Small Town” Tour of Homes was a resounding success. The membership is so thankful for the support of the community which turned out in droves, our talented and tireless SSC members, our faithful partners, like The Terrell Tribune and Flowerfields Florist, and, most importantly, our homeowners without whom there is no tour.

NCTCOG to host public meeting to discuss regional transit system

North Texans are invited in February to provide input on a study examining how to close gaps in the regional transit network and create a more seamless experience for riders. The study will help develop a transit vision, along with specific goals and objectives that guide the transit planning process, recommendations and implementation.
