Tiger Academics head to State.

The Poetry Community Christian School (PCCS) Teacher of the Week is Kimberly Graves. Mrs. Graves began teaching elementary students in 2012 in public school and later enrolled their child at PCCS. It was then that she became interested in Christian education and teaching at PCCS where she started in the Elementary Support Services Dept. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M and a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2016 with Honors; she is also a Barton Dyslexia Interventionist. She especially enjoys teaching the PCCS first graders who are full of energy and curiosity. She and her husband, Cory, have two children and attend Prairie Valley Church in Campbell.

Rain may have prevented the Special Olympics, but it will never put a damper on these athletes’ special day so long as the Tigers have anything to do with it! Terrell ISD wants to give a big thank you to all of the staff that go above and beyond to put a smile on these student’s faces.

The Poetry Community Christian School Teacher of the Week for April 8 is awarded to Jose Wilson Paulino da Silva. “Mr. Wilson,” as students call him, is multi-talented with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Music and one in Languages with four certifications.

Class of 2020 Terrell High School Alumna, Arlene Herrera on her acceptance into the 2024 NIDA Summer Research Internship Program at Harvard Medical School. Arlene will be graduating this Spring from Texas A&M.

Terrell ISD student Miguel represented Kaufman County at the Regional Spelling Bee in Dallas March 23. He made it to the third round facing fourth through eighth graders.

Terrell HS student and FFA member Lucia Jophlin wins overall Grand Champion and Challenge Champion, coming home with a Mr. H Trophy.

Patricia Daniels is the Poetry Community Christian School Elementary Teacher of the Week. She has a long history in education and youth intervention. She began her teaching career at Patrick Henry High School after earning her B.S. at MSU. She later taught with Uplift Preparatory and the Dallas Independent School District. Before coming to PCCS, she served as an Academic Coordinator. As a certifi ed teacher, her greatest asset is encouraging learners of any age. She knows that educational success begins when students believe in themselves and believe they can learn, regardless of the subject. She has a particular gift with young learners. A look in her classroom will see students engaged and smiling!
